A dreary morning, so I’m told
A mist of tears. A blowing cold
Dark cloud across a solemn sky
Another day is drifting by
Let me keep the curtains drawn
To shield us from another dawn
Let us hide here. Let us sleep
With memories that we will keep
Protected from the grasp of time
Where I might read our nursery rhyme
And watch you, always, as you doze
In silence share your sweet repose
And dreams of sunshine, until when
I hold your little hand again.
THAT’S GORGEOUS!!! LOVE IT!! ❤ ❤ ❤
