I apologise. I hadn’t posted anything for a while and thought it about time and then I saw This at the go-dog cafe and jotted down something quick before realising how corny it was.
And then I added a photo that had no real connection.
So. Sorry. Twice.

A prisoner before you stands
You ask no ransom, no demands
Yet give me love I did not earn
Demanding nothing in return
You need no cage, no lock and key
Your captive I will always be
For there is little I can give
To you who are my will to live
There are no riches I can show
No gold or silver to bestow
No castle for my precious queen
No kingdom where you’d reign supreme
Is it enough that I adore
And cannot offer any more
Than this humble wedding ring
To you who are my everything
My every breath, my every thought
Your willing captive. I am caught
I don’t feel it is corny. It’s a beautiful cry out of love.

You call it corny,
but I disgress.
For being corny,
I am the best!
Or the worst,
depending how
you look at it
but I endow
a natural gift for
everything cheesy,
Don’t even try, Good Sir
I’ll beat you easily!
Just come over
and listen closely,
at the eye rolls
oh so plenty…
With this said,
I must confess,
this piece gave me
stomach butterflyness,
and I would bet
my very last pennies
that so would say
many more ladies.
A man who can pen
such utter adoration
will always get
most women’s inclination!
P.S. I am also sorry! 😉

How syrupy … but nice.

Yes. Syrupy. Sickeningly so. I put these occasional attacks of sentimentality down to the onset of senility.

Being a complete romantic I do not think it corny, just very nice and romantic. Whoever she is, she’s a lucky woman.

Oh totally romantic … did you really offer your lady a wedding ring, difficult to imagine but at least the thought was there 🙂

At these words I swoon
Taken captive by your charm
My head reeling with overwhelm
My heart racing with anticipation
